I had a poor experience with a different breeder, culminating in a kitten who died at 15 weeks. When I asked for recommendations for a new breeder, Kirstin Wright (whose review appears below) suggested Wild N Sweet. I am glad she did, because I have had a fantastic experience from start to finish. My kitten, Logan, is an absolute delight – I couldn’t be happier with him! He is everything a kitten should be – and you can see for yourself on his Instagram, @wildnsweet.wolverine

A brown Bengal cat for all tastes
There are many varieties of colors in the brown Bengal cat ranging from warm brown in shades of blond to cold brown, almost gray. Between these 2 extremes, we can see brown Bengal cats with cream, golden, cinnamon and even caramel colored coats. No matter the color, we like a beautiful contrast. There is also a very special variety of brown: the brown charcoal Bengal cat.

How to produce brown Bengal kittens?
Brown is the easiest color to produce in Bengal cat. The brown gene is dominant, which means you only need one brown parent to produce brown Bengal kittens. In some cases, you could produce brown Bengal kittens even if neither parent is brown. It’s quite amazing knowing that if you cross a snow (white) Bengal cat with a melanistic (black) Bengal cat, and neither of these cats carry any other gene, you will only have brown Bengal kittens.
The reason is that snow and melanistic colored genes are recessive. The word “recessive” means that both parents must pass on the gene to produce the color. So, if there is only one parent who transmits the snow or melanistic gene, there will be no color other than brown.
Note that if you cross 2 snow Bengal cats, you will not produce any brown but only snow kittens! Same thing with blue and melanistic Bengals.
